At age 11 Sara made her first baking story for a local newspaper. Both her mother and grandmother had backgrounds in the baking industry and it didn't come as a surprise when Sara decided to specialize in baking as well. Before graduating from high school with a Baker´s Apprentice Diploma she managed to win a gold medal in the Swedish Championship for Young Bakers.
Being a young talent Sara received an invitation from New York where Håkan Mårtensson, Master Chocolatier and Executive Pastery Chef of FIKA NYC, wanted her to accept a position as Executive Pastry Chef. Sara was soon to be responsible for amazing cakes, pastries and breads.
Upon her return to Stockholm she was offered the position as Head Pastry Chef at Taverna Brillo and by the end of 2014 she won the most prestigious pastry competition in Sweden and received the title “Årets konditor”.
With same enthusiasm, fine sense of accuracy and personal calm Sara now dedicates her passion for pastries and food to styling and recipe development.
